Please use this handy checklist to avoid additional cost and time.
1) Supported Applications and Media: - QuarkXpress 6 or earlier - Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 or earlier - Adobe Acrobat 7 or earlier - Adobe Illustrator CS or earlier - Adobe Photoshop 7 or earlier - Microsoft Office 2000/Office:Mac V.X or earlier (not for page layout) - Filemaker Pro 5.5 or earlier (not for page layout) - 3.5 Floppy - CD/CD-R/CD-RW - DVD/DVD-R/DVD-RW - 1/2 gb Jaz Disk - 100 & 250 mb Zip Disk 2) When sending a QuarkXpress or Pagemaker document: - Include all document fonts (including fonts used in .eps files) - Include all high resolution graphics used in file - All files must be 1up (if 2 sided use page 2 as the back) - Include a laser print out 3) When sending scanned or photographic graphics (photoshop or any pixel based program): - All images are preferably in .tif or .eps formats - All images are at 100% scale - All images are at least a resolution of 300dpi - All images are in CMYK color mode 4) When sending line art (Illustrator eps, Freehand eps, etc) - All text is converted to either outlines or the equivalent for the program used - All colors are in CMYK color mode 5) When sending variable data: - Files are ASCII text tab-delimited files 6) When ordering phone cards: - See template for how bleeds relate to card size - Avoid framing or having borders to close to the edge of the card - Requires a faxed or emailed first and last PIN/Control number Additional Information All artwork, variable data, images, layouts etc will need to be emailed to digitalprint@abilityplastics.com. Any changes or alterations required to make the artwork usable with result in a $75 per hour charge with a minimum of 1/4 hour. We use CMYK process colors and some PMS colors cannot be reproduced. Because of the variations inherent in all printed materials we do not recommend borders on plastic cards that parallel the edge of the printed piece because slight variations may be noticeable. If color proofs are required, the first will be supplied within 48 hours of receipt of electronic artwork and sent via first class mail. Rush proofs are also available at additional cost. Proofs can also be sent via UPS at the customers expense. Proofs must be carefully reviewed, signed, dated, and returned. A signed proof is final acceptance to produce the order. Production lead time starts upon receipt of a signed proof. |
